Horsforth schools, artists and musicians came together over the weekend to show what the town has to offer creatively, making the first Horsforth Walk of Art a resounding success.
The project was set up by devoted mother Lara Rule, who started with the idea of planting homemade bird boxes around the town and later developed the project into a two day celebration of art.

Delays loom for Leeds motorists throughout summer, as major road works begin on the A1(M) today.
Resurfacing work, the length of six tennis courts, will be carried out every night in a bid to improve sections of the A1(M) near Leeds.
Motorists will face possible delays for the next three months as sections of the work (1,2000 sq meters), which will include resurfacing, replacement and the general maintenance – is to be carried out between Boston Spa and Braham.

A group of 11-16 year olds from Leeds has set up an arts festival which will provide free workshops and performances for young people at the start of the summer holidays.
The Breeze Arts Festival will run from the 18th to the 25th July and includes everything from DJ workshops, illustration classes, flashmobs and live performances.
