The inquest into the death an 11-year old  boy who was reversed into by a tractor re-opened today.

Harry Whitlam, 11, died after the incident at Swithens Farm, Rothwell, on August 9, 2013.

The boy, from Bradford Road, East Ardsley, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with serious head injuries but died later the same day.

Leeds Coroner’s Court heard the boy had gone into an area of the children’s farm  attraction that the public is not normally allowed into.

Farm worker John Gill, son -in -the law of the owner Ian Broadhead, said, “Since the incident there have been more changes to segregate visitors from the working farm. Lots more signs , additional gates and now it would be impossible to take the same route.”
