Yorkshire-wide search for Bridlington murder suspect

The search continues for a man who is wanted in connection with a murder at a Bridlington guesthouse, police say he is considered dangerous.

Police were called to the Morayland Hotel in Marshall Avenue in Bridlington

where landlady Bei Carter was found dead late on Friday 18 July.

JohnHealdBridmurdersuspectMr Heald was staying at the hotel when the incident happened and has since fled.

Officers say he has been spotted in his home town of Rotherham over the weekend, he has been described as dangerous and the public have been warned not to approach him.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Baldwin, of the South Yorkshire Police said: “John Heald has managed to evade the police so far but we are closing in on him and will not relent until we have found him.

“If anyone has been contacted by Mr Heald or knows anything about his whereabouts, I would ask them to do the right thing, do not be swayed by a misguided sense of loyalty, ring the police now.”

The police are warning people not to approach Mr Heald and are asking anyone with information on the case to call the Major Incident Team at Humberside Police on 01377 208989 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
