The care sector continues to struggle: how many of us will step up to help?

As we continue to live on in lockdown, pressures on the care sector are increasing daily. Rolling news shows the media focus has turned to how those working in Britain’s care sector are coping amid the coronavirus outbreak.

With the number of lives lost to covid-19 now at well over 18,000, eyes and ears have turned to those working in care to gain a sense of the number of lives lost in to the virus in care homes up and down the country.

Yorkshire Voice reporter, Grace Pritchard, spoke to those working in the sector to find out what day-to-day life is like on the frontline. And heard from those left unemployed or with in-frequent work, about whether they would consider a career in care under the current circumstances.
