Leeds motorists face A1 delays

Delays loom for Leeds motorists throughout summer, as major road works begin on the A1(M) today.
Resurfacing work, the length of six tennis courts, will be carried out every night in a bid to improve sections of the A1(M) near Leeds.
Motorists will face possible delays for the next three months as sections of the work (1,2000 sq meters), which will include resurfacing, replacement and the general maintenance – is to be carried out between Boston Spa and Braham.
Breeze Festival is breath of fresh air for Leeds youngsters

A group of 11-16 year olds from Leeds has set up an arts festival which will provide free workshops and performances for young people at the start of the summer holidays.
The Breeze Arts Festival will run from the 18th to the 25th July and includes everything from DJ workshops, illustration classes, flashmobs and live performances.
