An 88-year-old man who was the victim of a hit and run in Wakefield died yesterday from his injuries in Leeds General Infirmary.
The man was struck by a Ford Focus shortly after 1pm last Tuesday (30 June) as he crossed Flanshaw Road, as the car was heading towards Batley Road.
The police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Safer Roads and Neighbourhoods Team (East) via: 101 quoting log 0787 of 30/06.
