Leeds has been ranked 5th in a new studentcrowd survey for 2023 with a score of 4.33/5.
The scores were extremely close with the top spot going to the city of Liverpool with a score of 4.42/5.
The survey asks students to rate different aspects of the cities they reside from cost of living, nightlife, cost of eating out, shopping and transportation. All these factors are crucial to the student experience outside of lectures.
Yorkshire Voice spoke with students to get their thoughts on life in Leeds.
Grace said: “I think Leeds is a great place to live and study because regardless of budget there is a place for everyone to live and have a good time.”
“As an international student myself it is a great and welcoming city that helped me when I was new to this country”, added Francis.
Kyle said: “I love living in Leeds it’s a great place for a night out and the people are really friendly although I’d like my bins to be emptied more often.”
