It was an even start to the game, but towards the back end of the first half Luton took control, in the 35th minute Jake Richards slipped Jordan Clark in down the left hand side, Clark came inside and curled a shot towards the top corner, but was denied by the crossbar.

Just minutes later Luton were in front, Gideon Kodua found Richards in space on the edge of the box, the teenager fired a left footed shot past Sam Walker to put the Hatters 1-0 up.

Luton started the second half the way they ended the first, Richards dispossessed Jenson Metcalfe in midfield poking the ball to Clark, Clark then found Morris in space on the right wing, driving into the box past Curtis Tilt, before slotting the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Bradford were still pushing and had a golden oppertunity to get back in the game, Antoni Sarcevic played debutant Ethan Wheatley through on goal 1 on 1 with Josh Keeley, but Wheatley’s finish was tame and saved by the Luton shotstopper.

As Bradford pushed they left space in behind for Luton to exploit, Kodua found himself 1 on 1 with Aden Baldwin on the left wing, skipping past the defender, but he couldn’t supply the finish hitting it straight at Walker.

Walker was once again called into action, Ali Al Hamadi laid the ball off to Kasey Palmer who shot from range, but Walker got down low with a strong wrist to push away from danger and keep the score at 2.

Deep into stoppage time Bradford made the game a bit more interesting, Sarcevic played a ball over the top for Stephen Humphrys to chase, Humphrys raced in behind, controlling the ball well, before squeezing the ball past Keeley.

Bradford couldn’t find themselves an equaliser though, and suffered a third away defeat in a row, all against promotion rivals.

Speaking to the club media following the game, Alexander spoke about how his team needs to be more clinical;

“We had opprtunities to score.

“Humps’ goal came a little bit too late for us, only giving us a minute to get a result.

“But we had other chances in the game that we have to score, otherwise we will rue those missed chances.”

Bradford City drop 1 place to 6th, now only 4 points above Luton who are 7th, although the Bantams still have a game in hand.
