A victim who fled honour based abuse is celebrating today as she graduates from Leeds Trinity University with a first in Psychology today.
Saliha Rashid, who is 21, now campaigns for victim’s rights and wants to raise awareness about the honour-based abuse that many people around Britain suffer from.
Miss Rashid said: “I was told that because I am blind and an Asian I would always be a failure.”
She’ll graduate from Leeds Trinity University with a first class degree in Psychology.
