Yorkshire Business Continues Support to Kyle Ryde for 2022 BSB Assault

Yorkshire based Company, Langver Engineering, have confirmed their ongoing support to racing talent, Kyle Ryde for the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

The engineering establishment are heading towards what is their seventh year of supporting Ryde in his racing endeavours. With a hopeful season on approach, excitement is at a high.

Joint Managing Director and avid two-wheel enthusiast, Scott Taylor, said: “I love being a part of it. Kyle has lots of potential, I like the kid and I like his family.

“They’ve put a lot in to getting him to where he is today, so it’s nice to give a little bit back to help in any way I can.

“It’s also nice to see the company’s logo on something I’m so passionate about.”

After keeping a close eye on Ryde during the early stages of his career in the RedBull Rookies Cup, it became clear to Taylor that the youngster had had special assets that, if nurtured properly, could take him far in the world of racing.

In the wake of clinching a podium during a wildcard weekend in the World Supersport Championship at Donnington Park back in 2015, he became interested in helping the ‘Youth’ on his road to racing success.

He said: “I believed he was a kid to watch, I saw potential in him.

“I became really interested in helping him out through the Langver brand, and after sending emails back and forth, we met up and got on from the word go.”

Ryde’s progression into the Bennetts British Superbike Championship came in 2020, after securing the British GP2 title the year prior.

His first full season in what is arguably the most competitive domestic championship in the world, was registered with two race wins at Silverstone, while competing for the Buildbase Suzuki Outfit.

This year follows on from what was a tough 2021, after switching to the OMG Racing BMW camp. However, the team’s recent transition to the Yamaha manufacturer for 2022, offers a bright future for himself and the rest of the team.

Taylor said: “The Yamaha proved itself to be fast at the first test, Kyle had lots of good things to say about it.

“He’s always been a Yamaha fan and I think the bike suits him much more. Hopefully we’re in for an exciting year.”
