Headaches in Headingley as student parties cause noise nuisance

MORE THAN three quarters of noise complaints in Headingley are caused by loud music and parties.

Students in Leeds urged to get jab to protect against killer meningitis bug

Young teenagers and ‘fresher’ students are being advised to have a vaccination to prevent meningitis W disease after the death of a 19-year-old woman. The Men ACWY vaccine is given by a single injection into the upper arm and protects against four different causes of meningitis and septicaemia – meningococcal (Men) A, C, W and Y diseases.
