Struggling Chelsea face high flying Brighton in Carabao Cup

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino says “we need to keep the positivity” before Chelsea vs Brighton on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

The pressure is building on the Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino after only winning one game from six however Pochettino believes that the players “need to keep the positivity” as he looks towards the game at Stamford Bridge against Brighton in the Carabao cup.

“I will try to give them confidence and all the support that they need, we need to be clinical in front of goal and hopefully we can score on Wednesday.” Pochettino said.

Chelsea have failed to score in their last three games in the Premier League and will be hoping that their attackers can find some form.

One player that Chelsea knows that they will be without for the game against Brighton is Malo Gusto as he got a three-match ban for a red card against Aston Villa.

One player who could feature for Chelsea is the former Brighton player Moises Caicedo after his shaky start to his career at Chelsea this could be the game to kickstart it.

There is a major injury crisis at Chelsea with key stars like Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku who will all be unavailable for the game on Wednesday.
