It was a great start for Yarnbury, with two tries from Becky Colwell and Rebecca Foster to give them a 0-10 lead. A scrappy few minutes until a try from Brodleians’ full back Heidy Birkett Fajardo which pulled them back into the game and Gracie Mynott was on point with the conversion. A few minutes after Birkett Fajardo scored, she would go again with another superb run to score under the posts and Mynott would get another two points to give Brodleians a 14-10 lead. It was going all downhill for Yarnbury but at last they would finally regain the lead, a third try came from their captain Lauren Morgan and Yarnbury looked to be back on track. Just before the halftime break Yarnbury got their bonus point try, Ruth Flory was able to break through the Brodleians defence and score the try and score would be 14-20 to Yarnbury at halftime

The team from Horsforth would show huge dominance at the start of the second half, Katie Kerr showed great pace to go over the line for a try but there would be no additional two points. Inside centre for Yarnbury Harriet Cochran would go under the posts and after many missed attempts, Yarnbury would get their first conversion of the match, courtesy of Ruth Flory. Brodleians would get their first try of the second half, fly half Penny Eaton dived over from the ruck to get her team back into the game. Mynott was successful with the conversion. Lauren Morgan was at it again for Yarnbury, the captain showed great strength to increase her sides lead by sixteen points. Katie Kerr would yet again show her pace to score again and Flory was just able to get the ball over the posts. After a try fest from Yarnbury, Birkett Fajardo would get her hat-trick and a try bonus point for Brodleians which would get them a point.
