The Saints come out as 2-0 winners following a fantastic attacking display in the first half thanks to goals from James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams. This result seems them climb to fifth in the league, just three points off top of the table. Everton however, remain top of the table despite losing their first game of the season, they’ll be disappointed though as they seemed to always be stuck in second gear and Digne’s dismissal in the second half just added to their problems as they failed to get back into the game.
