Michael Brothwell, one of the directors at Leeds Brewery said “It’s a terrific feeling to have been recognised.  We have around 100 staff working across our brewery and pubs, and we think we are doing a great job but it’s nice to know industry experts think that as well.”

Leeds Brewery launched in 2007 and brews around 60,00o pints of beer a week, which includes real ale, lager and bottled beer.

The Publican Awards 2014 which is in association with Society of Independent Brewers,  were very impressed by the quality of the Yorkshire bred brewer.

Comedian John Bishop hosted the event, and the award was awarded to Leeds Brewery’s managing director, Sam Moss.

Judges said: “Leeds Brewery manages to combine the best of youthful vigour and a wisdom you’d expect in a much older company. Each pub feels like a Leeds Brewery pub, and yet is its own place at the same time. Each manager is empowered to develop the pub offering, and their passion is obvious.”
