Local campaign group, Bradford Live have won the council bid to develop the Bradford Odeon.
The Odeon, which has been derelict since 2000, will undergo and £23million pound refurbishment turning the site into a state of the art performance space.
The project is expected to be completed by Autumn of 2020, 150 years on from the completion of the Odeon back in 1930.
Bradford Live founder, Lee Craven, said: “The venue will be a true symbol of the city, once it’s completed.”
The council voted unanimously in favour of turning the venue into a performance space last week.
