Bradford City return to winning ways, after 3 defeats in a row, with a 1-0 victory over Doncaster rovers, thanks to a superb volley from Tyreik Wright.

The first chance of the game fell the way of the visitors, Billy Sharp was able to find Luke Molyneux in space on the right wing, Molyneux was then able to pick his head up and find Hakeeb Adelekun at the back post, the left winger headed down into the ground, but the ball bounced just over the bar.
Just 1 minute later the ball was in the Doncaster net, Ibou Touray played a one-two with Bobby Pointon before crossing into the box, the ball found Kayden Jackson, who signed for Bradford yesterday from Derby County, who controlled and slotted the ball into the bottom corner, however after a lenghty conversation with the fourth official, the referee penalised Jackson for controlling the ball with his hand and disallowed the goal.
As the first half developed City survived a scare, Jamie Sterry’s long ball was dropped by Sam Walker, Sharp picked up the loose ball and shot past the stranded Goalkeeper, but Matthew Pennington was there on the line to make a block with his chest and bail out Walker.
Bradford started the second half well, Zander Clark was called into action to deny an edge of the box shot from Max Power.
Just minutes later, Bradford were scratching their heads as to how they weren’t in front, Josh Neufville laid the ball back to Power who’s shot was tipped onto the crossbar by Clark, the rebound fell to Pointon, who’s volley had everyone beaten, but the ball agonising hit the post before Doncaster cleared.
Doncaster were still threatening and were inches away from the lead, Molyneux’s cross into the box flashed across the six yard box, narrowly avoiding Harry Clifton and Sharp who threw themselves at the ball but couldn’t quite get there.
With 10 minutes to go, the game finally got its magic moment, Neufville skinned James Maxwell taking the ball to the byline, the wing-back picked out Tyreik Wright at the back post who smashed a fierce volley into the top corner and give Bradford the points.
The Bantams remain 5th in League One, 7 points above 7th place Luton Town who they play next week.
