85-year-old Leeds pensioner dies following road collision

An 85-year-old woman from Leeds has died after sustaining serious injuries following a car crash near Copmanthorpe near York.

Doreen Myers was a front seat passenger when the blue Skoda Fabia she was travelling in collided with a black Toyota Yaris at Manor Heath and Hallcroft Lane crossroads.

The collision is believed to have happened at around 5.30pm, Thursday, August 28.

Mrs Myers was then taken to Leeds General Infirmary, but died on Wednesday, September 10.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw either of the cars before the collision, or witnessed the actual crash, to contact them on 101, select option 2 and ask for the Major Collision Investigation Team, or email mcit@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
